Equestrian stables, show arenas and training facilities depend on quality footing material to provide the safest and most cost-effective working surface. Arena footing is generally a mixture of sand and sawdust. The best sawdust to use should be weather-aged and have a respectable moisture content. Overly-dry sawdust will cause the arena to become dusty, making it hard to breath for both the horses and riders.
