Gary Deer & Sons is a family owned and operated business based in Jamestown, Ohio. Established in 1962 to provide bedding for nursery plants, Gary Deer & Sons has been in continuous operation ever since. After nearly a half-century in operation, it has become southwestern Ohio's leading provider of the highest quality air dried, hardwood bedding and arena footing for large livestock.

From boarding stables to production dairies, Gary Deer & Sons supplies some of the largest and most successful equestrian and farming operations in Ohio. Our products consist of oak, hickory, poplar and ash wood and originate from a single, clean, dry source - the same supplier we have used for more than 35 years. No one else in the business has that kind of record.

Load Size & Delivery Area

Gary Deer & Sons trucks carry approximately 8,500 pounds, or about 26 square yards, of bedding material. Delivery is available in most of southwest Ohio, with most direct routes along I-71 from Columbus to Cincinnati and most of the Dayton, north to Urbana. Call for exact delivery and pricing information. We can put your location on a regular schedule! Call for information!

Sorry, Gary Deer & Sons does not offer bagged shavings and we provide neither pickup-truck nor tractor-trailer sized loads. We never sell material containing kiln dried sawdust, apple, cherry, walnut or cedar. Why? Read our Cautions page.
